In Academic, Saturday, October 31, 2015

Reading the space through the seven story tellers:

Void, light, material, scale, openess, flow and soil

“Dwelling is not living in a house; it is a verb and the center of everything we do. It is the sense of belonging. Any proper structure would allow mortals to dwell. Dwelling is the center of everything where we belong”. Heidegger 1953

The focus of this design course is to explore the unprecedented experience within the space, concentrating on the typologies owing to change inhabitant’s feelings and behaviors.

The seven story tellers are our background during the design process to reach a form that could help to understand the relationship between the inhabitants and the space.

Theme:

The relationship between outside and inside.

The relationship between the building and the sky.

The relationship between the building and the soil.

Our ultimate goal of this course is to meet the desired needs of the space and the people who will occupy it, trying to touch the sense of belonging in the space.
