Arwa graduated from the Architecture and Urban design program in 2017. Arwa received her master’s degree from the GUC in 2021. Arwa started her career as an academic just after her graduation in 2017. Her research interests is in the human aspect in the urban design. Her master’s thesis topic discussed the interaction of humans with gated communities’ walls. Arwa is now pursuing her PHD in Cairo University in Faculty of Urban and regional planning, under the topic of “Humanization of Cities”. read more

Eman Ahmed Farouk Hassan

Eman Farouk started working at the GUC in 2017. She has teaching experience in design studios and foundation courses including building technology courses and architecture drawing. Research interests include desert city developments, Landscape history and creative economy. She was also part of organizing teams for several workshops and exhibitions. She has previously worked as an architect and researcher at CLUSTER Cairo for two Years. read more

Fatma Mohamed Elmowalled

Fatma has been working in GUC since 2016. She received her Master degree in 2019 from GUC. She teaches various courses such as Design studios, Housing, & Working drawing courses. She is acting as Instructor in the CADCAM courses including different software. She is a PhD candidate, focusing on Smart & Walkable Cities. In addition, her research interest is urban branding, new urban communities & urban intervention. She participated in AGORA CAUMME conference with a research paper & presentation. read more

Heba Ezzat Dewedar

Heba’s research focuses on phenomenological studies of the integration of nature in urban and architectural settings and its effect on the affective experience of space. Her master’s thesis focused on extracting tools to activate residential green public spaces in Cairo through a grounded theory methodology. She has an extensive teaching experience for bachelor and pre-master’s students that spans design studios, visual design, technical design and project management, theory and history. read more

Hebatulla Hamdy Elsharawy

Hebatulla graduated and worked as a teaching assistant in GUC since 2018. She gained her master degree in 2021. Her main work scope is Building Technology, dealing with multiple design projects having different typologies, topography, & scale. Her research interests are: Sustainability, Simulation, AI, Renewable Energy, BIM, 3D models, & Software programs. In 2022, Hebatulla earned “Climate Ambassador” title, dealing with climate change mitigation. She is also a “DGNB Registered Professional”. read more

Joy Samuel Labib Maher

Joy has been working in GUC since 2019 and currently pursuing her PhD degree at Universitat Politècnica de València. Her main research topic is upgrading the tectonics of appropriate/ natural building materials. She worked as an architect in national and international architecture offices in Europe and Egypt. She has organized several design studios, elective courses and hands-on workshops focusing on Earth architecture and participatory design approach. read more

Manar Karam Aly

Marwa Mostafa

Marwa is interested in the revival of earth architecture in Egypt and the influence of Egyptian heritage on this revival. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the field of rehabilitation of earthen traditional architecture and their sustainability. In addition, Marwa is interested in the fields of virtual reality and augmented reality tools. She has been teaching courses at the Building Technology Department at the GUC such as Integrated Design Project, Design Studios and Renewable Energies. read more

Mona Abdelaziz

Mona has been working in GUC since Feb. 2015. During her time at the GUC, Mona has been involved in all fundamental architecture courses, design studios (I, II, IV), housing, history and theory of architecture, and various electives such as ‘LEED to Lead’ and Choreography of Space.
