Mostafa earned his B.Ss from Ain Shams University (1994) and a Ph.D. from the School of Architecture and Building Engineering, University of Liverpool, UK (2003).Mostafa earned his B.Ss from Ain Shams University (1994) and a Ph.D. from the School of Architecture and Building Engineering, University of Liverpool, UK (2003). He lectured at the University of Liverpool till 2006. Back to Egypt, he served as the General Manager, at the Technical Affairs Department, NEW URBAN COMMUNITIES AUTHORITY NUCA, Ministry if Housing and Urban Development, EGYPT, for 2 years, and currently as a Professor at the Architecture Engineering Dept. - Ain Shams University. He is a member of the higher scientific committee for developing the code of practice, Ministry of Culture, EGYPT. THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR URBAN HARMONY, Ministry of Culture, EGYPT, Institute Of Acoustics [IOA]-United Kingdom, England, Egyptian Architectural Engineering Society, Egyptian Engineering Syndicate, Egyptian Society of Engineers, Acoustical Society of Egypt ASE, and the Acoustical Society of America ASA.He holds grants from EPSRC funded research projects, with the University of Liverpool-UK, partner in TEMPUS projects with ILPO- Stuttgart University- Germany, PI-Newton Musharafa (British Council-STDF funds) with the University of CARDIFF, and PI-DAAD funded projects with TUM in Munich. He organized many conferences for Ain Shams University, and the British University in Egypt BUE, where he served as a Professor and Programme Director for 6 years. He published many papers in international Journals and conferences, as well as contributions in book chapters. He acts as well as a reviewer for several International and national journals in his area of research.
